About Me
My name is Cole Michie I am a Graphic Designer specializing in illustration, logo, branding, typography and package design. I graduated from Plymouth State University in the spring of 2020. At PSU I explored my design style and where I wanted to take my design as a profession, all while meeting deadlines for projects. As someone who throughly enjoys being in the outdoors a lot of my inspiration comes from just that, I use the use of natural flow in my work and repeating patterns to visually communicate brands.
I am inspired by artist such as Blaze Brooks for his use of illustration and distressed appearance, Lincoln Design Company for their use of typography and clean work, and Aaron Draplin for his bold line work and iconic symbols.
I also photography and handprinted signage as they both hold their own in graphic design. I try to incorporate each into my work when it is needed. The use of hand lettering a font can add a lot to a simple design. I am proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, Procreate,and Drawing/Sketching.
